No. We are simply giving space to media, creators, and organizations that don’t tend to get as much spotlight as the majority ones
There are many many books and movies that consider themselves diverse, and yet people of color in them are simply there to “check off the diversity box” – there’s either only a few of them or they are represented heavily stereotyped, often negatively.
For now, the website is for teenagers and adults searching for books, shows, movies, etc. for themselves or the kids in their lives, regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs.
We aim to display quality books that promote positive values and critical thinking, and in passing we ensure that the society we live in is correctly and positively represented.
When coming here, you can rest assured that by definition you will only see items that are sufficiently diverse and positive, except the “Not-for-Our-Family List”, and a few items that mostly display the majority but so strongly defy stereotypes or promote activism that we had to include them
In addition to the above, the creators who sell through us receive sufficient spotlight and mainly a fair compensation for their hard work.

We will gladly receive all the recommendations and analyses of media you want to share, recommendations of businesses and creators that qualify.
And if you are a non-majority person, we will also gladly interview you about your own experience, so that others can get a better understanding and compassion for lives that are sometimes vastly different than their own.
